Who shows up for the World Race 1 day early, only to be 1 hour late???

>This Girl< (two thumbs in)

My 60lb pack, overstuffed daypack, orange WR  ‘purse’ and I arrived in Chicago a day early to visit my friend Bethany at New Tribes Bible College (a PHENOMINAL school BTW).
We had such a fantastic time! Chicago style pizza, a beautiful walk downtown and a great time of sharing with a few beautiful women of God.
After some great Prayer time, and pillow talk, it was too few hours till morning. The next day, I had the privilege of sharing for a few minutes during their woman’s chapel service. The response was incredible! Over 25 women gave their email addresses because they wanted to continue following what God was doing through The World Race.

Since the weight limit for flights is 50lbs, I had to re-evaluate everything in my pack to ‘trim down’. So I whipped out my Leatherman knife, and even went so far as to cut away straps and parts of my pack I would not need (not much use for the ski-pole holders….) A small group of World Race hopefuls gathered, wide eyed, to watch the crazy missionary take out more stuff. What a privilege it is to speak into the lives of young women who are seeking God for what He has next in their lives!

Running a few minutes late in true Michelle Style, I arrived at the 4-points Sheraton.   The WRONG, 4-points Sheraton. That was 45 minutes away from the correct location. In times like these, I used to get stressed and anxious and nervous. Instead, this day, there was only peace! Thank You Jesus for your perfect peace :0)

This is the story of how I arrived to the World Race …. 1 Day Early, 1 Hour Late & 10lbs over weight

Here I sit, 2 days later, at 2am, trying to figure out how to put the last 2 days into intelligible words :0) I think this will need to wait till tomorrow :0)

Tomorrow, we fly out to Guatemala!!!

L-Squad!!  (note the sign … ‘Adventure Starts Away From Home’ :0)
