Lately I’ve had to fill myself up with some truth from the Lord, and I mean more so than usual. It’s when you start to draw nearer and nearer to God and start listening to the Spirit that the enemy attacks you the most.
So here’s what the enemy has been telling me:
-You are never going to raise enough money. Your God will not provide.
-You are not worthy to go on this trip. You will be useless to those around you.
-Nobody cares about you going on this trip. You have no support.
-This is not what God has called you to do. You’re going the wrong way.
-You’d rather stay at home and be comfortable, wouldn’t you? That’s what you really want.
These are the types of thoughts the enemy likes to plant. They’re so untrue! And if I’m not careful and catch them at the beginning, I’m liable to start believing in some of these lies. So I’m recapturing my thoughts for God.
Because here is the truth of the matter:
-God is faithful and He provides! “And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.” ~2 Corinthians 9:8
-I am not worthy, but I have Christ in me to see his purpose done through me! “for all have sinned andfall short of the glory of God, and are justified by his grace as a gift, through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus” ~Romans 3:23-24
-People have been so supportive and wonderful and I am so blessed to have people in my life who love me dearly! “But as it is, God arranged the members in the body, each one of them, as he chose. If all were a single member, where would the body be? As it is, there are many parts, yet one body.” ~1 Corinthians 13:3
-But even if I didn’t have any worldly person to care for me, I would still have God! “For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” ~Romans 8:38-39
-I have a peace that only God can give that I am on the path he planned for me! “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” ~Proverbs 16:9 “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.” ~Psalm 32:8
-What I want is to obey the Lord most! And lucky for me, God has given me this great book so that I can know exactly what he asks of me! ”You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” ~Matthew 5:14-16
So grateful for your truths today, Lord. Amen.
