I feel like the end of the race is rapidly approaching and there is nothing I can do to slow it down. Yup, that is how it is right now.

Thailand was fun and I got to see my parents for a week. But Thailand was so much more. We had the opportunity to teach English at a school about 2-3 hours north of Chiang Mai. We lived in a town called Fang, at the back of the school property in this great little house near a lake. It even had this dock over the water!

We were blessed to have AC in our bedroom, though we had no way to cook food other than with a microwave. It was so great. We had a good routine with shopping for groceries and then watching the sunsets. Then we would have team times then escape into the air con!

Our hosts were amazing. They organized us a great schedule of classes to teach and we all rotated throughout the day. They also arranged for us to have 2 adventure days with them. We were able to visit Chiang Rai and see the White Temple and a Green Tea Plantation. So neat. We also visited an elephant camp and went bamboo rafting down a river. What great fun.

The challenging part of this month was that I finally figured out what was bothering me in regards to team dynamics. I finally grew the courage to tell my team what was going on in my head. I told them how I needed to stop comparing and how I just couldn’t handle team times as they were going.

They were so gracious to me, I was so thankful. We did change how we did things and I ended up feeling so much better for it. I have an amazing team.

Time quickly disappeared from us though. Mid September we headed back to Chiang Mai for PVT. (Parent Vision Trip) This was such an amazing week. I will be writing another blog shortly all about my time with Mom and Dad. 🙂

But for now, I just wanted to update everyone on how Thailand was. We have just arrived in Malaysia, so more fun things to come. 🙂

PS, I also dyed part of my hair blue!!
