Malaysia…. month 10 of the race. We literally had team changes a few hours before we travelled. What craziness is that? I have no idea.
But, what I do know, is that my squad leaders and squad mentor hear from the Lord, and they felt it was right. So we did it. As hard as it was leaving my previous team, I am so grateful I get to finish out the race with my current team.
So let me announce the J-Walkers, my final team.

Jill, Alissa, Kerri, Candice, me and Sarah. π
Our ministry in Mayalsia was working at a kindergarten, and hosting a large English is Fun program. Our mornings were spent with the kids, we tutored and even taught them to play memory. We played games and laughed at the comments some of the kids made. lol

In the afternoons, we would go into town for food and AC at the mall. The heat was oppressive and made me feel so tired ALL the time. So we pretty much sat in the mall for hours at a time. We did our quiet times, read, journaled, did pretty much whatever to relax and cool down.
This month was great. Our hosts were literally amazing. We were like their 20th team or something like that. So they were great at ministering to us, and giving us space as a new team. They also put together our own worship service with prayer. It was just amazing.
We lived in a room above the kindergarten and luckily we were able to use the AC for a few hours every night. We all lined up our sleeping pads and made the place our own.
On our off days, we were lucky enough to go to Langkawi Island. The island was beautiful. We were able to explore and relax and go swim. We rode the tallest cable car in the world and saw the skybridge. π We discovered this great beach called Skulls Beach, so beautiful. Its where the team picture above was taken.
Even though we only explored the north end of Malaysia, I still feel like we got to see the country. What a blessing. In our last few days there we even got to travel south to Penang area and we volunteered and participated in a 5k charity walk. I was able to man the first aid tent at the last minute since the doctor was missing. π He showed up 20 min later, and I got to finish the walk with the rest of the team. π

When our ministry ended, we headed to Kuala Lumpur for our last LDW. We had some great meetings and worship and breakout sessions. We got to explore KL a little, see the Patronas Towers at least. Had a restful weekend after lots of travel. Then off we went to Indonesia.

I am so excited. My teams gets to go to BALI for our final month of the race! BALI!!! REALLY??? God is the BEST!!
