Hi everyone!!!

First of all, I just have to say that I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE October so much!!!! The air starts to get crisp, the leaves change colors, I can go apple picking, and start fall baking and watch Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings, and listen to Michael Buble!! I mean, not that anything is stopping me from doing these things other times of the year, but I just really love doing these things in Autumn. Siiiiiigh… I love it!

Well, out here in sun scorched California, it was fall for like 2 days. ๐Ÿ™ Now its back up to the 90’s. Its been summer FOR-EV-ER!!! My hair grew a few inches without me knowing because its been in a bun since February!! I keep thinking to myself, how on earth am I going to handle 4 months in South East Asia? It will be substantially hotter and muggier. And those that know me, know I run HOT, so this is pretty much self inflicted torture. Buuuuuut, I will be learning the joy of grinning and bearing it because I love our mission to go and help people. I am so excited to see what God will do with my team and our squad. The countries we will go to and the people we will meet are going to be so special. I really can’t wait. And I pray at that point, that I won’t mind the sweat so much, because that won’t be what matters. It’s the people that matter. I love people.

So in the spirit of new adventures beginning in the fall, I have one coming up in 4 days. I will be flying to Atlanta Georgia for our squad’s training camp. We will be camping for 11 days, hiking with our packs, eating foods from the countries we will be going to and having squad wars. I am excited to meet my teammates and also my squad-mates. I am praying for connections and good friends to be made. These will be the friends I will be living this next year of life with. Its kinda scary, well, and exciting too! I am not too sure what else goes on at training camp, but it will surely be fun.

Check out my next blog post for more info on how training camp was. ๐Ÿ™‚

Please be in prayer for my team and my squad. Also pray for safe travels. I’ve also been having a hard time with thinking of the fact that I will be missing people when I am gone. I mean, baby Elly and Maddie will be 1 and a half when I come back, Emma will be 3…. it makes me so sad to know that they won’t know me when I come home. I also think about my best friends and how much I will miss them too. I love doing life with them right now, and, I am just going to miss them…. sooooo much! This is hard. The hardest….

Thank you to everyone who has donated! I am so thankful and grateful for you. I am at 62% funded which is amazing. My next goal is to raise $14,000 by Christmas.

Just to clarify: I will be traveling the next year with 50 people, called my squad. Within that squad I will be in a team, made up of about 6 people. The squad travels from country to country together then our contacts will take our teams to different places within each country. Then we meet up together to move on to the next country as a squad. ๐Ÿ™‚
