Many people ask me what they are really supporting. Is it a mission trip for you to just travel the world? Are you just going to tell people about God? Why are you going for so long and what exactly are you going to be doing for that long?
Well, the answer is simple. You are not supporting just ME, you are supporting all of those that I will come across that need healing, friendship, companionship, love, kindness, strength and so much more that we need as humans to help guide us along our journey of life. You are helping me to travel to areas of the world that need LOVE. LOVE can be shown in many different ways depending on what we need at the moment. What can I offer: refugees might need help finding shelter, want companionship in a time of struggle, prayer to get through this tough time…children might need friendship, positive people who smile around them, someone to tell them God loves them unconditionally, someone to read to them…people of poverty might need healing of a sickness, someone to teach them about their Lord and Savior, someone to bring joy to their life or give them a hug. All of these acts are what this mission is all about. It is to spread God’s love in whatever way is needed to bring God’s people together. God blesses us all with gifts and it is our duty to use them for the good of the Lord, because we are His servants.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: whoever speaks, as one who speaks oracles of God; whoever serves, as one who serves by the strength that God supplies-iyorder that in everything God may be glorified through Jesus Christ. To him belong glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” 1 Peter 4:10-11 (ESV)
“Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests, but each of you to the interests of others. In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2: 3-4 (NIV)
“For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, with ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.” 2 Corinthians 4:5 (NIV)
Here are some pictures from past world race missionaries on their journey around the world. This will give you a glimpse of what could be to come on my own personal journey. You will get to experience and witness these moments with me along the way in spirit.
Not only is this going to help others and hopefully make their lives better, but it will change mine FOREVER! I am in a time of transformation in my life and this trip is only another test of my faith in the Lord. It will test me mentally, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. But through all the struggles, alone time, good days, and questioning along the way, I will become a stronger person that has a closer relationship with God through learning and gaining wisdom along the way. My purpose is to grow closer to Him and live in holiness through obedience. I can only imagine what this journey will do to teach me this obedience and trust in the Lord.
So if you are willing, pray for me throughout this journey for constant guidance and strength to continue on and finish what I started.
Thank You to all who believe in not only Me, but in our Lord, Jesus Christ…because He is the one doing the work through us here if we allow Him.
“Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song. For the LORD is the great God, the great King above all gods.” Psalm 95:2-3
Now praise the LORD in song with one of my favorite!!!
