Yes, is a word that can be used in a variety of different meanings. It can be used to give an affirmative response to someone, one can use it in a questionable remark or to ask for more detail about something. It can also be used for expressing delight in something; such as “Yes!!! They have waffles!!”; whatever the word is used for it is clear about one thing. Yes, is a driving force, it enables one to continue to take action into something.

Well lately my yes has been to God to travel for a year spreading the Gospel and taking care of others in need; to bring hope and light to a darkened world full of chaos, destruction, and frustration. I have been having some trouble fundraising, however I know that the Lord is always faithful and wants me to grow closer to Him; so I am not to worried.

Anyways the reason for writing this blog is simple, for the past few weeks I have been watching a YouTube channel known as Yes Theory where their philosophy is to seek discomfort. I agree with this because so many times we can be caught up in our own little world not worrying about other people or we get too comfortable living in the same continuous life pattern (Ex: wake up, go to work, lunch break, go home, see family, go to bed) and when something little disrupts us we get all mad, angry or upset. We as humans, also usually go and cling to our own comfortable living not willing to step out of our comfort zone; therefore ‘seeking discomfort’.

Well, I have said yes to God- I am choosing to go to 11 different countries to preach the Gospel where my safety is not guaranteed. I am also choosing to leave the comforts of my own home here in the United States to live out of a backpack for a year, living in tents, being hosted by strangers in their own homes all while getting cozy with 30-50 strangers I have never met in person nor really know anything about.

I am taking risks, stepping out in faith and out of my comfort zone to do what many people would say is insane or risky. The thing is though, I need your help to get there; where I can be helping others in need. Building houses for the homeless, feeding the homeless, hanging out and spending time with orphans, teaching English, helping out those who recently got out of sex-trafficking. Just doing every day living for Jesus, telling others who He is and serving them in their time of need. The thing is though, I need $10,000 before I launch on this mission trip; especially because I get to raise another $8,000 while overseas.

Which if you help me get to my goal, I will say yes to another thing I am terrified of and afraid about doing because of possible laughter and jokes about it. However, I am choosing to seek discomfort, to step out of my comfort zone and say yes to God and do what I can to fundraise. So, if $10,000 is raised before I launch on this mission trip before January I will reach out to Yes Theory and have them shave my head bald and I will also allow them to control my life for 24 hours (see videos below).
