Dear Friends and Family,
I, Michael James, never would have thought that God would choose me to be one out of many to proclaim the gospel all over the world! I attend Live Oak Baptist Church on 107. I grew up all of my life going to church and accepted Jesus as Lord of my life when I was 9. My family set a beautiful example of a God honoring family that encouraged me in my walk with the Lord. As I have gotten older experiencing more of the Lord personally by serving him, hearing his voice, and spending time with him, I have began to see more of his heart and desires for me, this world and my place in it.
While serving at church camp the past two summers, I have been exposed to a missionary experience called The World Race Mission Trip. At first, I was doubtful because it cost so much, and though it sounded good, I did not think it was for me. However, the more time I spent with God, the more he was showing me and telling me he wanted me to do this. I am excited to announce that I have been accepted into The World Race August 2018 Route 3 Mission Trip.
So what is The World Race? The World Race is an 11 month mission trip where we go to 11 countries to share the gospel, serve refugees, victims of sex trafficking, plant churches, work with local churches, and so much more. It was founded by Seth Barnes in 1989 through an organization called Adventures in Missions(AIM). AIM has sent out over 110,00 missionaries all over the world. My training camp is June 4-14, 2018 to prepare me for this mission trip and I will be launching August 1, 2018. We will be spreading the gospel in Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Cambodia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia.
As I prepare for this experience and journey of living with abandonment for the Lord, I am faced with many challenges. My main challenge and biggest preparation project is fund raising. In order to go on this mission trip I must fund raise $18,100. I am looking for people to partner with me by supporting me through, most importantly prayer, and financially. I am asking you to prayerfully consider supporting me with a monthly donation or a generous one time donation. So that I can go and serve the Lord and spread the gospel on this mission trip that He has put on my heart to go and do.

I would like to also thank you so much for supporting me through my blog, financially, and through prayer. I can’t do this alone and without you guys I won’t be able to fulfill what the Lord has put on my heart to go and do. Please be praying for me as I get closer to leaving and while on The World Race. I would appreciate prayers for the safety of my team and I , financial support goals to be met, and for my family and my teammates families as their loved ones go out onto the mission field.
Sincerely, Michael James
