An update on where I am at on this Journey called The World Race Mission Trip. Sorry for the long and jumbled thoughts but I have a lot going through my head as time is short.
I started this journey back in August/September of 2017 when I was accepted to go on the world race. I was fearful of one main thing and that was fundraising. I was nervous to meet my squad and my team and both went well. I am nervous and maybe a little fearful about leaving my family and everything that I know and love and the things that I find comfortable. But FUNDRAISING?!?!?! It has been hard, uncomfortable, scary and a daunting task over all. I don’t like asking people for money, I find it to be awkward and even a little embarrassing. But I know this is where the Lord has called me and I know that he will provide.
This is where the Lord has pushed me out of my comfort zone to grow me in ways that I may not see now but maybe in the future I’ll get a glimpse of something much greater he has for me. That he uses this opportunity to grow me in areas that I would then have the skills or qualities to then pursue what he gives me in the future that I am properly prepared for.
This fundraising process reminds me of…
Matthew 7:7-11 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. “Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? “Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? “If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
I have to remember to be faithful to the Lord everyday in all that I do knowing that He will be faithful to me no matter what. Consistently asking the Lord to provide the funds trusting that He would give knowing that I have asked, seeking him daily and knowing that I will find Him because I have sought after, and knocking at the door of this opportunity He has presented trusting and hoping that He will open the door to this mission trip that I might go and be light in the world spreading the Gospel. Many times the Lord tells us to do this. Here are a couple:
Matthew 28:18-20 Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
Mark 16:15 He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.
So with that said I was reading this book called “The God Ask”, by Steve Shadrach. It’sabout the fundraising process and everyones part or position in it. This image is taken out of the book which best shows the process(enough said).
I am announcing that I have 19 full days to come up with $3900 to Launch/leave to go on this mission trip(deadline is July 20th, 2018 for $10,000). I would like to invite you in on this journey with me and ask you to invest financially in me to help me spread the Gospel for Jesus Christ our Saviour. I need $6,000 at this point(including the $3900) and I will be completely funded by my supporters and the job that I have been working at for 3 and half months(as of right now) that God so graciously provided for me and the selling of my motorcycle(still trying to sell). I know God will provide and in this time of need will allow God to work in miraculous ways that only He can do. If you love the Lord and want to see Him work in and through me and through you and your support this next year then Please Share, if you can’t donate and even if you can donate please share(it all helps). I can’t do this without the help of Gods people and yes, that means you!(:
