The Unposted pt 1.
Hello everyone! I know I have been MIA for a while now but don’t worry I will be posting a lot more! I haven’t blogged because the Lord asked me to focus on him, what he wanted to do with me, and the ministry here in Colombia. I will be posting blogs I have written this month but haven’t posted yet to catch you up on my journey.
FEAR OF DANGER
January 8th
I have experienced and have seen so much joy and growth this past week. I have been soaking it all in, and I have been learning the ropes with logistical things and what he has been teaching me spiritually. The Lord has removed my fear of danger. Before leaving the states, I felt a heaviness of fear of danger. Satan tried to use dramatic events in my past concerning physical terror to prevent me from going on this trip. It’s kind of crazy because John Sanchez, one of my teammates, wrote a blog about a dream he had involving us dying. On that day he had the dream I experienced so much fear, and I didn’t know he had the dream. CRAZY RIGHT!? You should check his blog out and subscribe.
THE ARRIVAL
January 8th
We have arrived here in Medellin, Colombia! We are excited to be here for all squad month and ready to start the ministry. Our ministry this month is working with Ciudad de Refugio! This place is amazing! The people in this ministry are so intentional with everything. In the program, they feed and minister the homeless, local community door to door outreach, men and women’s ministry, VBS, a bakery where they train the men with skills, and an English school to name a few of what this ministry does/has. My squad-mate McKenzie Murdock wrote a fantastic blog on how intentional this ministry is. Check it out and subscribe!
UPDATE
January 15th
I have to give glory to my father in heaven! He has given me such a peace that surpasses all understanding. He has given me the courage and the freedom to GO without fear. 2 Timothy 1:7 He is still molding me in the areas of my life that can sometimes give me anxiety, but I know that even though the bad things he will work them out for his good. Romans 8:28 says that he will work all things out for good for those that love him and who have been called according to his purpose.
Along with this, the Lord has asked me to surrender everything back home. To give him everything and to be present at this ministry. He has asked me to not blog or to reach out to friends and family this month. The Lord wants me to abide in him. So far this month has been uncomfortable not talking to friends and family back home. It has been tough wishing to update and tell the stories that are happening around me. I will soon catch you up at the end of the month.
Thank you so much to all my supporters! Be on the lookout for more parts of the Unposted Series to be posted in the next couple of days!
