My Lord,
Why do I feel so far from you?
In the midnight hour, I cry out to you.
Every night tears flood my room,
Why, my soul, are you dismayed?
Believe in our Father,
Remember who He is.
Why, my soul, do you feel lonely?
My spirit damaged ,
as my friends and foes doubt your plan for me.
Why have I been betrayed?
Lord, why have you forgotten me?
I have given everything away.
You're all I have Lord.
Lead me through the valley.
Give me your strength to endure.
My Lord,
Hold me close in your arms,
As the enemy tries to separate me from you.
Why, my soul, are you angry?
Humble your heart.
Save me from my pride oh Lord.
For I have fallen short of your glory.
Lead me into humility.
I pray to you my God.
My heart in agony,
as I wait to hear from you.
My soul cries out to you.
Why, my soul, are you doubtful?
Remember the revelations your God has shared with you.
Why, my soul, are you afraid?
Remember where He brought you from.
Put your hope in God,
For I will praise Him,
Abba, Father, my God.
I will sing a new song,
For I am not alone.
I have heard you speak.
Oh Lord,
You listen to your children.
I will rest in your promises.
I will wait and listen to you only.
Shield me from the lies of the enemy.
Wipe the tears from my eyes.
I will trust you.
Send me your light.
My savior and my God.
