One of my World Race sisters posted this and it was so awesome that I wanted to share it with you!

The cost for both Michael and I to go on the race is $31,000 ($15,500 each) and we are still in need of $11,000 by March 2013. Here is a breakdown of where your money will go when you support us.
 

As World Racers, the $31,000 is broken down by these categories…

  • Training Camp–$620
  • Field Support–$1,240
  • WR Development Program–$3,720 
  • Administration Fees–$5,270
  • World Racer–$20,150
As you can see, 65% of the funds that we will be raising go towards our expenses for the 11 months. As World Racers, our budget consists of….
 

Our budget is broken down into these categories…

  • Intercontinental Travel–$9,067.5 
  • Food–$2,619.50 
  • Lodging–$3,828.50 
  • Transportation–$2,216.50 
  • Long Distance Travel & Misc. Supplies–$2,418.00  
In addition to the expense of $31,000, we have purchased/been donated the following items:
  • International Medical Insurance ($600)
  • Immunization Shots ($600)
  • Gear
  • Travels within U.S
 
DEADLINES: These are the deadlines that are set up by AIM that we are required to meet.
  • $7,000 – Due 7/1/2012 (2 weeks before Training Camp)
  • $13,000 – Due 8/18/2012 (2 weeks prior to your trip)
  • $22,000 – Due 12/1/2012 (End of 3 months on the field)
  • $31,000 – Total Due 3/1/2013 (End of 6 months on the field)  
We are confident that this is where God wants us and that He will provide for this trip to be possible.
