MAN ON FIRE
(A call for men, part
2)

God has been doing some pretty
major things in my life this year and part of that is growing me in my passion
to train and call up boys to be the kind of men God created them to be. In the
last 24 hours some conversations have taken place with Seth Barnes, Michael
Hindes, and my good friend on my squad Drew Crain and I feel God is saying He
wants some of this to be put out there for all the men to read. I’m just going
to write, I’m not sure how this is going to come out because this blog will not
be filtered or edited in any way.
Another thing, is know as a man of
God writing this I already know I’m not perfect, I’m a sinner saved by grace
like anyone else, I know I’ve made mistakes, the news flash is I still make
them to this day and its from those mistakes that partly fuels my passion to
lead other men not to make the same ones. So when reading this if you get that
kind of check in your spirit where it’s like “How dare he say this…” then just
know that’s the Holy Spirit telling you, that it’s YOU and so you need to
probably read this blog a few times and let it sink in then take it to God.
So here we go:
There is no doubt there a deep
felt need in the church, ministry, and cultures around the world. One
commonality I’ve seen in every country I’ve been to is the male figure (the
husband/father/leader) presence is absent. The effects of this socially and
psychologically are too much to list for this blog, but they pale in comparison
to how it affects a Christian man Spiritually. In case you forgot men, the bar
has been set, we’re to become more like the person of Jesus, so why is this so
hard for us to daily strive for this?
In part 1 of this series I
addressed the men who maybe had some over confidence issues, so now I want to
talk to the men with the lack of confidence issues. You men who are just
constantly living in your heads and never rise up to speak life over anyone, or
to pick up your spears and go into war because in your heads you’ve already
been defeated. Listen to me carefully………
You are
a son of God, man… come on now… just get out of your mind for a few seconds
so your heart can do what it already does naturally when your not in your head
so much. Usually what you believe manifests into actions or, lack there of
depending on what you believe. So what do you believe?
You
think anyone you know wants to be a Christian if your just moping around all
day, living life as usual, no! They will he start to take notice when the Holy
Spirit who is inside of you is manifested because you started living each day
believing who you are, who God’s called you to be, and are living it each day.
It’s the TRUTH; you have to believe it… No one, absolutely NO ONE, wants to
be a Christian not because they don’t believe there is a god, but because they
see the way we live and love one another and a lot of the time it’s shitty,
they look at our life and laugh because it seems void of any life at
all………… you start living and walking in what He’s called you to do, and
living with the anointed power He’s given you in the Holy Spirit then… and
only then will you see others drawn to Christ through your life.
You can be a cute cuddly encouraging do-gooder and throw the
name of Christ behind whatever it is you do and say but no one’s buying into
that because you’re doing it all on your own strength… it’s nothing to brag
about… But when you give it all up, when you operate on His strength and just
be the son of God you know you are and love the way He’s already loved you…
then you might start to experience some real change…. then you might see some
loved ones converted and on fire for Christ, but how can you expect them to
when you’re not. And the only reason your not is because you’re being lazy when
you know what your damn well capable of, you son of God. Are you listening to
me? Are you tracking here?
The guy God’s told you are, that guy is real, he’s YOU, so
when you wake up why not start being that man and stop letting the enemy tell
you any different. You’re loved completely and unconditionally by the ALL
MIGHTY KING, what more do you want?
Now do you believe this stuff or are we just at a digital
peperalley here?
Do you believe HIM? Because He’s already told you who you
are to Him… and He’s probably wondering when you’re going to wake the hell
up, literally wake HELL up…. and start being the man He’s created you to be,
your fully equipped ready to take on the world because the Holy Spirit is
inside of you wondering when the man God created you to be is going to show
himself and take some action.
Did you know the Holy Spirit get’s restless? Inside of every
man, we were created for adventure; a life of adventure with God and the Holy
Spirit is always leading us towards this adventure if we would just listen to
Him.
So the blog is going to end here, “What is the Holy Spirit
telling you, what do you need to do right now, not tomorrow or what you could
of done yesterday, right this very second what is He saying to you, and well,
are you going to do what He’s asking? SHOUT IT OUT MAN OF GOD.
When
you’ve done this then you can go onto read part 3 of this series addressing men
in a different role as the pursuer , but until we tackle this issue I don’t think the content
in part 3 will be for you, yet. So
do yourself the favor and dwell on this for a while.
