Walk of Encouragement
Tonight I believe.
I believe I am going on the World Race. Its not that I believe I could go, or believe I might go… I believe I will go!
Tonight I met with Jamie Neumann, fellow racer from Wisconsin! We went for a walk along the beach in Milwaukee, and it was incredibly encouraging! We talked a ton about the race, and our individual walks with the Lord leading up to this point. Through our conversation, God blessed me greatly, and encouraged me once again to Believe! I again believe God is going to deliver me and send me on the World Race. Simply believing has made this whole journey possible again. That belief has not really been there these past few weeks. I believed it was a possibillity, but I did not truly believe it would happen.
What can simply believing do for you? It can change everything. It changes how you see things. When you believe, despite all circumstance, you can be sure of things to come. You open the door for God to move. Example? I have been checking my support account everyday for the past few weeks, and everyday it did not change. After a couple weeks of this, when I would check it, instead of believing it was going to change, I believed it would be the same number, $540. Well tonight I got home at about 1am, and checked my account. Before I clicked to check my support status, I realized something. I was checking it, despite the fact that it had not changed in weeks and despite the fact that I checked it earlier in the day. I was checking it because I simply believed it was going to change. It just so happens, that when I checked it, the support was no longer at $540, but at $1,060!!! Not only did God meet the prayer goal of $1000 before camp, He surpassed it! I had a friend give $500! (By the way, pray for him! His name is Dan, and he is stationed in Iraq. He signed up to go back for another tour of duty, so he could continue to share his faith! He even touched up on the language so the people can hear the gospel in their own language!) Praise the Lord! I also had a friend give me $100 cash tonite to go towards a plane ticket! Haha, our God is ridiculously awesome! And guess what? I BELIEVE God is going to provide for the rest of that ticket, and I BELIEVE that God is going to deliver me from all debt, raise the support, and send me on this mission!
Jesus asked the blind men, “Do you believe that I am able to do this? “Yes Lord!” they replied. And Jesus said to them, “According to your faith will it be done to you!” (See Matthew 9)
If I checked my support status tonite thinking it was going to be that same number, Im pretty sure it would have been that same number. But because I believed, Jesus replied, “According to your faith will it be done to you!” I challenge you, what are you believing? Are you praying expecting God to move or expecting nothing to change?
If you are having trouble simply believing, find someone who is living a Christ centered life, and take a Walk of Encouragement!
UPDATE !!!
DUUUUUDE, so my cousin from Texas is in Wisconsin for a couple days and she came by earlier today. I told her about my friend who gave $100 towards the plane ticket and right away she decided to match it! (Her name is Dawn, and she is sort of at a crossroads right now, a new beginning. Please pray that God leads her and blesses her and her family as she moves forward in her walk with Christ!). This is soooooo awesome! Keep being faithful, I am praying for y’all and that God blesses you with the very thing your dealing with now!
