It’s been awhile since I’ve posted a blog, so a lot has happened.  It gets overwhelming when you get behind in writing, so I am just going to write and hopefully capture everything.

First, I want to thank Jesus Christ for how AMAZING He has been to my family.  Mom, I am excited for you and dad and I will see you in LA!  Bob, I am so proud of all your hard work and faithfulness, and now that you are going to Wisconsin Law we get to hang out!

Prague was amazing.  God wanted us to fight to get there, and He was faithful in return.  Our contacts John and Kelsie Mullen were amazing.  Our time at the International House of Prayer was soo annointed and God moved in sweet ways.  I got to drum a lot, and that was sweet.  We had a lot of late night conversations with travelers from all over the world at our hostel, and helped to shed light on what it truly means to follow Jesus.  The city is amazing, if you ever find yourself in Prague, check out the Charles Bridge at night.

We had over 36 hours of travel by train to get to Moldova.  This was… well, not so much fun.  But we made it!  I think I have finally recovered 🙂

Moldova is the poorest country in all of Europe, and coming from Prague which is pretty much First World, it was culture shock all over again.  Moldova has lost over half of its population in the last 10 years.  Of the 3.6 million still here, about a million of those people work outside of the country 8 months a year to send money back.  There is a lot of hopelessness, and people are hungry for something more from life.
We are doing sports ministry here (and some music), and it has been awesome!  Everyone we’ve met has been really welcoming to us, and really friendly.  I have a feeling God is going to do something special this month, within the relationships that we build.

I decided about 20 days ago to start a prayer initiative, to be on my knees everyday (for 30 days, although I think I’d like to continue for the rest of my life) praying over major requests in my life.  It has been really amazing.  Some days I pray with passion, and some days I just need to be faithful in doing it.  I think that’s what faithfulness is all about, doing the thing even when you don’t feel it.  I have found that real transformation starts on your knees before God in prayer.

We have three weeks in Moldova, three in Ukraine, a week in Ireland at the Awakening, and I will be flying to JFK in New York on September 3rd!  I plan on making the most of these last weeks on the World Race.  Thanks to many faithful monthly givers, and every one else who has faithfully sowed into my ministry, I only have $2,500 more to raise!  Please be praying that all of my support comes in quickly.  Thanks!

Thank you to all my supporters, and everyone who has been following my journey and praying for me!

love mike

(I can’t do any pictures this time because everything is in Russian and I can’t figure out how!)
