Here in Kenya, I am experiencing an entirely greater sense of dependency on God, and I'm thankful for it.
Every decision concerning the team is taken before the Lord. We pray for a spirit of wisdom and revelation and usually within 3 minutes we have our answer.
I am accessing heaven and experiencing the Holy Spirit like never before, and I know it has a lot to do with the posture of my heart. This leadership position is humbling at times, and I'm thankful for it. Humility produces an open heaven. God exalts the humble. Remaining in a place of humility allows me to access heaven and things of the Spirit freely and without hindrance.
As I continue to go places with God, my team follows. They are experiencing God like never before.
They are:
getting filled with the Spirit
getting freedom
having visions and dreams
practicing listening prayer
becoming prophetically activated
becoming empowered
embracing their identities as sons and daughters of the Most High God
experiencing freedom in worship
walking in greater wisdom
becoming more and more selfless
walking in greater authority
beginning to understand what a culture of honor looks like
( if you haven't yet read "Culture of Honor" by Danny Silk, I highly recommend it )
Adventures in Missions often talk about the "initiation process". Abandonment leads to brokeness, brokeness leads to dependency on God, dependency leads to empowerment, empowerment leads to calling, and calling leads to mobilization. The World Race (an 11 month process) usually takes you through the first four.
I prayed for a quickening on the initiation process for my team, and its happening. This is only a four month trip, but I believe every single person on my team can walk away from this knowing what it means to depend on God, and knowing what it means to be empowered by Him.
God has called us to live in community. Fellowship produces increase in our relationship with God. Other people can see things that we can't see, and everyone gets better. Do you have fellowship with other believers? Are you part of a community of people whose hearts are after God?
If not, find one.
