Our
time in Romania is quickly coming to an end, and our “ATL” month
(ask the Lord for new ministry) is almost here. My home church is
partnered with ministries in Prague and so awhile back I contacted my
friend Tom Clyde about possibly getting our team connected. He
emailed some ministries, and my inbox was flooded with opportunities
to minister in Prague. Our team prayed into it, and we all felt led
to pursue Prague as our ATL destination. A bit later, we found out
that our ATL month would be cut short. The World Race is phasing out
ATL months, and unfortunately they are starting with our squad. We
almost lost our ATL month altogether, but our squad leaders fought
for us, and managed to get us two weeks of ATL time.

I
emailed our possible contacts with the changes, and unfortunately all
the ministry and camps they had for us were for the later part of the
month. We quickly went from having an abundance of options, to
having none. Honestly, during this time, we were just kind of
waiting on God. The deadline for having our ATL destination came,
and we had nothing secured. It was then, that God reminded me of
something. I was reminded that following Him is more than just
knowing His will and then waiting to see Him come through. We play a
part.
We
need to pray that His will will
come to pass. We need to access His plans through faith. Prayer and
faith turns something you heard from God, into something you actually
see happen. He gives us a glimpse, but it is up to us to access
these things through prayer and faith. Once we hear the will of God,
we must pray until something happens. And you need faith, because
sometimes you will be praying and you won’t see anything change, but
remember, you have heard from God and already have a “Yes!” to
your prayers.

The
night of the deadline, our team spent time in prayer. Prague didn’t
even seem like a possibility at this time. We had no opportunities
and it seemed the door was closed. As we listened to God, He
impressed on Allison’s heart that this is something we need to fight
for. He gave me confidence that I would have an email in the morning
from Tom, with some sort of opportunity in Prague. He also told
Nicole “I have already spoken”.
(note:
also in this time God began speaking to everyone on our team
individually about worship and intercession. God had recently
renewed my heart of worship, and I told Matthew that for ATL I just
wanted to worship 24/7! God also told Allison that our mission for
ATL was to be centered around worship and intercession. A couple
teams are going to Berlin for the House of Prayer there (which is
24/7 worship and intercession), so we had considered joining them,
but we still felt led to Prague.)
The
next morning I had an email in my inbox from Tom Clyde! He had been
praying for us, and he made some more connections. One of the
contacts was a pastor who is involved with the House of Prayer in
Prague! Perfect! We didn’t even know there was a House of Prayer in
Prague. Even before we emailed them, we felt confident that this is
what God had for us!
have been in contact with the House of Prayer in Prague, and are
finalizing plans. God spoke, and with prayer and faith we answered,
and soon we will see His will come to pass! Amen.
