There is no longer any need to climb the brick walls, you will be too busy soaring over them…

This is a prophesy that God spoke through me tonight as I was praying for a friend.  I know it is not just for him, however, it is for the entire church, the entire body of Christ.  This prophesy is for you!

There are things that you have struggled with in the past.  Time and time again you run into them like running into a brick wall.  There have been times where you mustered up all the strength you had, and scaled the wall.  You gained victory and the struggle was over…. temporarily.  From now on, when you run into brick walls, you are going to fix your eyes on Jesus.  As you continue to focus on Jesus in midst of the struggle, you will start to fly.   You will soar, and pretty soon you will realize that you flew right over that brick wall.  You will be flying so high that you will look down, way in the distance and barely catch a glimpse of that brick wall, the very thing you used to struggle with, and you will laugh as you continue to soar.  You will be so fulfilled and overjoyed and loved as you focus on Jesus and soar, that the things you used to struggle with will seem so unattractive, and it will be almost comical to you that you ever wasted time with those things.

Right now, make a list of the ‘brick walls’ in your life.  You know what they are.  They are the sins and struggles that you have been wrestling with, and although you have had victories in the past, there are still times where you come up short.  Make a list.  In Jesus name, declare victory over each struggle.  Now pray.  Thank God that He has empowered you to defeat every sinful tendency that you brought into a relationship with Him.  Paul’s words to the Colossions are strict, and speak of finality:

“Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature” (Colossians 3:5)

This means making a decisive break from sinful habits.  Earlier Paul says,

“Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.  Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.” (Colossians 3:1-2)

Set your heart and your mind on things above, keep your eyes on Jesus!  What steps can you take?

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another.  Forgive as the Lord forgave you.  And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.  Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace.  And be thankful.  Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.  And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”  (Colossians 3:12-17)

Thats sweet, Paul lays it all out for us.  Be compassionate, kind, humble, gentle, patient; forgive as Christ forgave; be content and at peace with Christ; be thankful; meditate on God’s word daily; teach and encourage one another; sing with Joy and thanksgiving to God, and over everything – LOVE.

These are just a few of the ways we can honor God.  Be so focussed on Christ and caught up in all the ways you can honor Him, that the things you used to struggle with, the brick walls, fade in the distance, as you soar…
