In the stillness, I heard God…
During one of the worship nights, Mike Paschall encouraged us to simply lie on the floor and let Jesus minister to us. He encouraged us not to ask anything, pray for anything, or seek anything, but to simply rest and let Jesus minister to us. It took a couple minutes for me to silence my thoughts, but I finally got to a point where I was simply resting.
While I was lying there, I felt like the floor was slowly being turned upright, so that I was still lying on the floor but I was vertical. Of course this wasn’t actually happening, haha, but it was as though it was! Then the floor kept moving so that it was upside down. Then I saw an image of a globe with a figure of a person on the outside. The figure was upside down and curved around the outside of the globe and both were turning simultaneously. Then God began to speak! I knew the words were for everyone, because He spoke piece by piece so that I may remember it. Here is the message:
God is going to turn the world upside down. And he’s going to use us to do it. And people we encounter, their lives will change like the flip of a switch. They will go from who they were, to who they are in Christ. People will lay down shackles, step out of bondage and step into freedom and deliverance. People will step out of affliction and sickness and disease and receive healing from Christ. People will step out of anger and bitterness and move on to joy and peace and love.
Whats awesome is that I wasn’t seeking a vision, I wasn’t trying as hard as I could to hear from God, I simply allowed myself to rest, and allowed Jesus to minister to me. In Acts 17, the Jews who were seeking to persucute Paul and other Christ followers, referred to them as “These men who have turned the world upside down”! How awesome is that!
“Look at the nations and watch – and be utterly amazed. For I am going to do something in your days that you would not believe, even if you were told.” (Habakkuk 1:5)
So what does all this look like? I don’t know but I’m excited to find out over the next year! BooYah!
