Now we see in part, but in heaven we will get to see in full, the impact of a life devoted…
It is not every day that God allows us to see the impact we are having on those around us. Whenever He does give us a glimpse into our impact it is always incredibly encouraging. I received this message today from Kayla Koontz – one of the students from Team Kenya. I decided to post it because I think it gives you a glimpse into my ministry from the past four months. Here it is:

Good morning Michael ๐
Oh wow… I feel like there is so
much to say. You are one amazing leader. There is absolutely no doubt in
my mind that God had you placed exactly where you needed to be. You
will never know the impact you had on the team, on Kenya, and me. God
used you in so many ways and without you the team wouldn’t have had a
lot of the break through that we did. Thank you for stepping up and
being the man of God that he wanted you to be… that we needed you to
be. Thank you for not letting what other people think stop you from
doing whatever God was asking you to do. Thank you for being you…
cheesy I know but true. Seriously Michael you are amazing. God has
created you to bring so much laughter, Joy, and life to people. When you
speak so much life happens. When you speak you bring the kingdom down
to earth. Whether it’s just making someone laugh or speaking wisdom into
their life or giving a word of encouragement or leading us into the
presence of God. I have watched you live up to your name… cape of
bloom.
Michael I can not even begin to explain the impact you have
had on my life. You have helped me to reach a whole new level in
worship, in prayer, and intimacy with God. You have challenged me time
after time again in so many different ways. You have spoken so many
words of encouragement, truth, and life to me. You have helped me to
come more alive. You have helped me to start living up to the fullness
of the spirit and the calling on my life. I seriously don’t even know
how to say thank you. Just thank you seems so insignificant but I don’t
know what else to say. So thank you Michael. Thank you for sacrificing
your time, enduring the ups and downs of the trip, for not just talking
but showing everything through your actions, and for being who God has
created you to be. Thank you!
I have also seen you grow during this
trip. You are not the same person either. God has done so much in you. I
know it was very painful at times but I can see a difference! You are a
beloved son of the God of the universe and I have watched you walk more
and more into that Identity every day. And as for that constructive that
I gave you about 2 months ago I want you to know that you have changed
๐ It hurt me so badly to tell you that but you are a better person
because of it.
I have prayed into it and I want to check in with you
at least once a month. Just see how you are doing, to give you any
encouragement, and to know how I could best pray for you. I am soooooo
excited about what God is doing right now in your life and where he is
taking you in the future. The plans he has for your life are beyond
your imagination. Keep trusting God and taking the next step of faith. No
matter how crazy or impossible it may seem. Remember… your daddy is
going to come through for you ๐ If you ever need anything please let me
know!
love you!
p.s. sorry this is so long. I didn’t realize I had that much to say!
Keep serving God and others, and know that the impact you are having is greater than you could ever imagine! Now we see in part, but in heaven we will get to see in full, the impact of a life devoted.
