Hey everyone! I’m back on the blogging scene! I just want to start by apologizing for being gone so long, and to my Aug ’09 Racers, I have been trying to keep up with all the blogs (there are a TON of us!).  It is totally awesome to see God work in so many lives to bring us all together to serve Him.

Recently, my little brother left for the Navy and I couldn’t be more excited for him! I won’t see him for a long time, but its ok because I know that we are in God’s hands and He will open the door to reunite in His time. If you could, please send out a prayer for him as he begins this new journey. (His name is Mark by the way.)

So, I’ve been reading Romans lately, and WOW what a spectacular read its been! I mean, just look at the comfort in these verses:
From Romans 5
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us

If you haven’t read Romans in a while, pick it up and let it hit you like you’ve never read it before.
How amazing is Jesus? I mean, he came down to show us the way, lived the perfect life and while we persecuted Him and killed him, he loved us. I don’t know if I could do that, I mean, I would lay my life down for Jesus, my wife and family in a heartbeat, but for the people persecuting and trying to kill me? I know that I should, and that I have to show them the love of Christ, but man, thats hard! It just shows me how much I have to learn, and how much I have to change. With God’s help, and going on this Race, I pray we all change to be more like Christ in all ways.

God’s Blessings to all of you

Edit: I just read over everything in this blog, and then came up with the name for it….I know it doesn’t flow very well, but oh well!
