Last time you heard from me, I was sitting on a bus on my way to Panama with absolutely no idea of what was going to happen when I got there..

I want to tell you a little more about the journey as I made my way to Panama. So while I sat in my seat next to brooks and wrote, and read, Emily (my teammate) came over to us and said that she was sitting next to a guy (his name was Lenny) who was saying he had a place where we could stay for the month. My first thought was “Awesome, God is providing”. After Emily told us a few more of the details she walked back to her seat and then Brooks and I prayed for a while, really taking time to ask God if this was something he wanted. Well after about an hour Brooks and I went to talk with him, so that we could get more information.

After a few minutes of talking to him, I hated the idea of staying with him, but I hesitated,  and I said nothing…

So there we were, sitting there, everyone still not sure what to do but leaning toward going with Lenny, when Emily walked back to Brooks and I and asked me to go sit and talk with him. When She said that my mind went to “ugh, I just want to sit here, and not have to deeply talk with this guy”. Well, that thought was my flesh and I fought through that. I made my way to the empty seat next to him. As I sat down he instantly started to talk to me about how awesome a place he had was, and how “safe” it was (he must have said safe over 20 times). After about 5 minutes of talking with him I knew that what he was offering was no longer an option. So I walked back and said just that. I told brooks, that this was not God’s will and that it was not an option for us to go with him. He said “okay, good”. Again I made my way back to Lenny to talk, I had decided to just talk to him about his relationship with God, that turned out to be a lot harder than I had thought. After I asked him, He literally said 2 sentences and was back to talking about us staying with him. So, I sat there and listened. Well, 20 minutes later we were at a rest stop, and the whole team got together and I told them the way I felt and we decided as a team to just continue on walking by faith and go to the bus station. Minutes after we decided this God provided us with a cell phone to use. So again we tried to call our contact and guess what? He answered. I recently found out that the power lines had fallen and that almost as soon as they were fixed we called, and were the first call our contact received.

As I thought about all this I became so excited, and the reason why is that It was like God was saying to the team “Do you trust Me? or are you just going to take the first thing that comes along, that seems good, trust Me. My plans are so much better than anything you could ever plan.”

I am now serving Him in Panama, safe with food provided for me daily, and a shelter, and I have an amazing month of ministry ahead of me and to share with you!

TRUST GOD

He WILL provide.

I love that God is with us always. He is always taking care of us wherever you are. Whether that is Panama, the USA or anywhere else.

My challenge for everyone who reads this blog is to step out and walk by Faith.

and on a side note, along with another example of how God provides. 2 days ago, I had $7,819 in my support account. I now have $9,611! Our God is a faithful God, Trust in that!

I still need $389 before December 31. If 39 people gave $10, or if 8 people gave $50 I would meet my next goal of $10,000. Maybe that could be my Christmas gift. After all Christmas is all about how God sent a PERSON to change our world… So this Christmas, you can send ME to change the world...
