First I want to apologize for the delay. The internet in China was terrible and even when we did get it, everything was blocked. Anyway, we spent this month helping out at an orpahange for children with special needs called Eagles Wings. It was a great ministry and I enjoyed my time there, but honestly it was hard. Not the work or the ministry itself but being completely 100% mentally there was VERY hard for me. Having just come from Nepal and having grown so close with the kids there made it difficult to be in the moment. Also, it didn't help that they were leaving voice messages on my phone, e-mailing, and writing me on facebook telling me how much they love and miss me. Actually they STILL do. But as difficult as it was for me to concentrate I still managed to accomplice quite a bit. We painted a school, replaced a staircase, took the older kids out on numerous excursions, and even got to visit The Great Wall and The Forbidden City. I also had the pleasure of eating a fried tarantula, a fried scorpion, and a live scorpion. Good times…. All in all it was an exciting month.
