Since my last post God has turned my life upside down (this is a good thing). My team is now in Sisaket, Thailand staying with Ma and Pop. Ma is a great cook and I love most of the food that she cooked for us so far. The frog soup was not one that I liked (it had bones in it, as do a lot of the meals here).
Let’s back up just a bit. When we left YWAM in Phuket, we headed to the bus station. 5 of the team were headed out while 2 of the team stayed behind to help the SHE ministry. Well, from Phuket, we traveled to Bangkok, which was a 12 hour trip. We got to Bangkok about 630am. Well the team leaders went off to get bus tickets. Each time a team leader would come back they would talk about how their bus was so nice. They would talk about how they had Wi-Fi and message seats and all that stuff. So as you probably know my team was hoping we had all that stuff on ours. When our team leader comes back she tells us that we had a regular bus. Of course, we were disappointed but we soon found out that the bus we got had only six seats left and that it was the last bus for that day and that there would be no other busses going out the next day either. So God had his hand on us, but this wasn’t all he did for us. Well after waiting for about 3 hours we headed for our bus. When we got there, they kept telling us that the next bus was ours; this went on for like 15 mins. Finally they told us that our bus was here. We were nervous at first because it had a different city on it then the one we were going too. The bus driver told us that is was the right one. So we say “ok” and got on. This is where God blessed us. When we got on the bus, it was so nice we had our own TV and plenty of room to relax. Even though we didn’t have Wi-Fi or the other stuff we were blessed that God gave us what we had. Well, long story short, we got dropped off in the middle of nowhere. Not sure if we were in the right place we called our contact and PTL that we were in the right place.
Well, now let’s get back to our ministry site. It’s a very nice house and there is a separate wing that my team sleeps in. There is a common area and this is where the bathroom and shower are. Let me just talk about that for a min. The bathroom is ok but to flush the toilet you have to take a bucket of water and pour it into the toilet. Then for the shower you take another bucket of water and pour in on yourself ( this water is very cold). Well i guess that should be all for now another blog is coming right around the corner
