Alright team, it’s getting down to the wire. I have to have $7,500 in my account within the next couple of weeks in order to be able to head out on my journey (you can see the current amount I have at the top of the page). I have more time to raise the rest once I’m on the race, but if I don’t reach this goal, I won’t be able to go at all.
It’s honestly quite humbling to have to ask for help, but I know that God has called me to this race, and I know that I can’t do this on my own. I want to thank everyone who has already donated and supported me, and everyone who is unable to donate but still keeping me in your prayers. However, if you have been considering making a donation, or if you have already decided to but just haven’t had the chance, I humbly ask you to be like Nike and “Just do it!”
I know money is tight, and this holiday season many people are using their funds to support other charities and prepare to buy Christmas gifts. However, I want to take a moment to encourage you to partner with me.
The cool thing about your support is how it will be used. Any amount of money that you donate will help me physically touch the lives of people in 11 different countries! By extension, through the act of donating to this trip, you will be blessing people all around the world! How many times do you have the opportunity to help make a tangible impact on three different continents all at once? Pretty cool, huh?
This fundraising part of the World Race is challenging for me because I have no control. I’ve been purchasing gear, trying to sell many of my possessions (including my truck), and preparing financially, spiritually, and mentally, to set out for my year abroad. I’m following what I feel is God’s call on this next season of my life. However, at this point there is nothing left that I can do. All I can do is trust in the Lord and wait.
