Hey Team!
Recently I wrote a blog about getting a tattoo and the meaning behind it. You can check the blog out here. Read below for a story about how God used it to minister to a family in the states!

A couple of weeks ago, my mom was at work. At the time she worked at a crisis pregnancy center where she performed ultrasounds and counseled young women who were considering abortion. The goal was to keep them from aborting the child, and sharing God’s love with them along the way.
One day, she had a client and her boyfriend come in to get an ultrasound. As the young lady was in the room getting prepped for the ultrasound, my mom was in the hall with the boyfriend and causally struck up a conversation. My mom is the type that will talk to anyone, and she’s quite the character.
This young man was a pretty built guy and was, as the young folks these days call it, ‘tatted up,’ with tattoos all over his arms. She started asking him about his tattoos and what they mean to him. He smiled slyly and started opening up to her a little bit. She joked with him that she almost got a tattoo in Thailand, but chickened out (which happened when she was with me at Parent Vision Trip).
After that, she mentioned to him that while she chickened out, her son did get a tattoo recently. She told him about my tattoo, why I got it, and what it means to me. Using that story to break the ice, she was then able to share the Gospel with him.
To make a long story short, by the end of their time there both the young lady and her boyfriend had made a decision to accept Christ, and as far as we know they had chosen to keep their child!
How crazy is that?!
I had prayed about getting my tattoo for a year, and when I finally did get it, the Lord used it, along with my mom’s obedience, to change a young family’s life forever!
Had my mom not been interested in his tattoos, and had I not had one that she could share about, he might not have been as receptive to what my mom had to say! Now I know you don't have to have a tattoo to be able to share the Gospel, but this situation is a good reminder that God uses specific details of our life and our story to reach specific people.
Think about your own life. What stories, experiences, hardships, or mistakes have you gone through that could potentially help you relate to those around you? The root of the Gospel is relationships. You never know what the Lord could use in your life to reach other people! Are you willing to share your story?
