So Feburary was month 8 of my World Race Experience.  "But February ended three weeks ago!" you might be thinking quietly to yourself.  Well so it did.  Since I once again have gotten slack on the blogging front,  I'm giving you a post with nice shiny PICTURES!

Ok so they're not professional grade, I pretty much snapped them with a camera phone at random times throughout the month.  You're welcome.  Above, you can clearly see me standing confusedly above the ruins of Angkor Tom, an ancient Hindu temple.

And this is the front of the same temple.  The back right of this picture was the scene of an impromtu Emergency Tourist Poop, which basically consists of taking a dump behind a tree while friends create a diversion.  Let's just say I was happy to be the distraction and not the perpetrator of the ETP.

Ta Prom…aka Angelina Jolie Temple.  I didn't see her there, but I did see about 9 billion Koreans with their matching tourist shirts.  The real reason I'm taking a picture of the trees here is looking up was the only way to get a shot without people in it.  Thanks, Tomb Raider.

You may be wondering why I don't have any pictures of Angkor Wat, the biggest religious site in the world and the most famous Cambodian landmark?  Well I didn't bring my camera/phone that day, so instead you get an awesome picture of a dusty road surrounded by dusty trees and fields.  Which is pretty much what the coutry looks like when there aren't buildings in the way.

This is the view across the neighbor's front yard in Kampong Speu.  Team Zaidi lived here all month teaching english classes four times a day to the local kids.  To me, Cambodia was almost exactly what I expected Africa to be like, except with Asians living there.  I loved it.

The living space in most of the local houses was a raised wooden platform like the one on the left here.  This seemed to have the duel effect of keeping their personal effects and food out of the dirt and mud, and creating a convienient place for crumbs to fall for the chickens to eat.

A school building near Kam Pot.  Team Beloved Daughters taught English classes here all month, and the let me tag along one day.  They even let me tell the Bible story, which I think was mostly because they knew the kids would be quiet if a white gigantor was talking.

Joan (and Kayla mostly hidden on the left) teaching English to the childrens.  This is where I learned a Dangling Participle is not a type of local lizard.

I made that last part up.

Tia and Kenzie teaching.

Four of the prettiest girls ever.

One day I was wandering the countryside roads on foot, just enjoying the scenery and talking to Papa in Heaven.  These two little guys were out in the middle of a random rice field and spotted me walking down the road.  They raced after me for probably half a mile before catching up, the whole time yelling HELLO! HELLO!  We had a great time.  And by that I mean they looked at the ground while I tried to take their picture.

This is the pond that divided the compound in Kam Pot.  Also, this is the exact same water we showered with.  It was real nice.

Cambodia had some of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen.  If I had a legit camera, this would probably be your desktop wallpaper right now.

Hammock City, under the palm trees in Kam Pot.  I had some great coversations out here, both with people and with Holy Spirit.  This is also the first time I saw a gigantic squealing pig strapped onto the back of a moped.

And finally this is my little friend Boo.  I never figured out her real name, but she was facinated by this huge monsterous white man.  Kenzie said we reminded her of Boo and Sully from Monsters, Inc…so thats what I called her.

You may notice that I'm kinda overdoing the squint in this picture…this was the day after Jesus healed me from a massive eye infection, and I was still a bit light sensitive.  My eyes were so messed up that for two days all I could do was sit in a dark room and not move.  It seriously should probably have lasted a week, but I just happen to have a Dad who's REALLY good at healing.

Cambodia was such a great month, and I hope these pictures give you a window into my time there!  Be blessed.  You are loved.
