My name is Micah Hubbard and I am 25 years old.
Fact: I have a Bachlor's in History, which I don't even kinda use in my current job as an AT&T authorized retailer.
Fact: I am super blessed to be a part of New Life Church and get to serve and lead in Elevation, our college ministry.
Fact: I am both an adventure junkie and a supernerd. I love running and reading, kayaking and Skyrim, backpacks and Battlefield 3, frisbee and fighting zombies. I love good music and movies that make you think.
I have one awesome brother and seven amazing sisters and the best parents of all time. I love seeing Jesus change me and change others through me. I can't wait to see what God has in store for me this year!
For those of you who aren't familiar with the World Race and what I'll be doing for the next 11 months, let me fill you in. I will be leaving July 1st with a team of around fifty people ages 21-35 on a mission trip to 11 different countries. The trip is sponsored by Adventures in Missions and $15,500 of support is raised individually by each racer. The goal of the trip is to go to countries with the biggest needs and serve the people there in every way possible.
The countries on my route are Bulgaria, Romania, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya, Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Guatemala. I will have the opportunity and privilege of bringing the hope and love of Christ to people in countries fighting against AIDS/HIV, human trafficking, extreme poverty, and malnutrition.
