A football match with meaning
This is one of my favourite photos from the race. It has a beautiful story behind it and is a perfect picture of my time in the small town of Quepos, pure joy. A lot of my race I have moved around a country, very rarely staying in the same place for a long period of time. This month we spend most of our time in the Pacific coast of Costa Rica in a beautiful beach town called Quepos and guess what? I fell so in love with it.
Being part of a local community made me feel at home. We got to live in a house together as a team which created instant family. We got connected with a local church and helped with their kids club and made wonderful friends. We spent Independence Day watching the parade and being part of the celebrations. We got connected with a rehab centre and spent some time playing games, talking, praying and finally getting a game of football with with the guys.
Our final day in the town was spent at the beach. We done church together, had lunch and played a game of football. What an amazing memory to have. It wasn’t just a football match but an awesome way to conclude our time as a community. A group of people from different walks of life. Some struggled with addictions, locals, people from all over the world, everyone going through their own individual journey. But there was freedom and joy that afternoon and hope that brought us together. This photo not only means community but it also means family.

I am not yet fully funded but I am only $200 away from reaching this months target! if you would like to donate you can do so through my blog page. Thank you so much for your support, it is much appreciated.
