In a short space of three weeks I had some of the most memorable moments on the race.
My time in Nicaragua started off with the Awakening Conference that took place on a farm on the outskirts of Granada. It was there I fell in love with the beauty of the country as we camped surrounded by fields of Plantain and Papaya trees, volcanoes, epic sunsets, fire flies and of course amazing people. It was here we spend some time with R squad (our sister squad) and had a great few days. Our team actually loved the farm so much we stayed there for another week until we got flooded out by the tropical storm.
We moved into the city and stayed with an amazing family. We worked with their ministry alongside a Guatemala team. In one short week we became what can only be described as a family. We shared many awesome experiences together which included: ministry in the local community, kids programme, youth group, dump ministry, jail ministry and the hospital. One of my favourite memories was the over night community event. We played lots of Volleyball, football, we done worship and listened to a message. We ended it by watching the sunrise over the city of Granada. Being here brought about such a reality of how life was for the community. I seen a lot of unjust which broke my heart, I seen the brokenness is the eyes of many. I met individuals searching for something.
But again I witnessed a hope and this hope will continue to move throughout this community.
I want to thank the awesome ministry, REAP Granada for inviting us into their lives.
Nicaragua was a crazy month from Granada to Managua and then to finish in Leon.
