When thinking about what to do with my life after high school, I was completely conflicted. Everytime I thought about it, I would cry. I had no idea what direction God was leading me in, and I did not want to make any decisions without Him. I knew I wanted to do something different and out of the ordinary, but I didn’t know what that was or how to go about finding it. Instead of making a decision, I decided not to think about it. This only worked for a little bit, but then of course, everyone wanted to know where my life was going. It’s hard to answer that question when you have absolutely no idea.
So I started praying about it. I have never prayed for something so often and so steadfastly in my entire life. It was incredible. And also frustrating when answers didn’t come right away.
God was teaching me to trust in Him and believe that He would be faithful in HIS TIMING. I wanted answers right away, and I wanted to do it my way. This is not what God desires for us. He wants us to everything we do on His terms, in regards to His will and His plan for our lives given by Him in order to further His kingdom. Where do my wants and desires fit into this equation? They don’t. I am here on this earth created by Him in order to give Him all of the glory.
When I began being faithful to to Lord, the answers started coming. The only reason it took me so long to find these answers was because it took me that amount of time to have complete faith in His timing and His purpose for me.
Now that God has opened the door for the World Race Gap Year, I cannot wait to see the plan that He has in mind for this journey. I will be traveling to El Salvador, Malawi, and the Philippines each for three months. I will be doing various outreach and ministry to the people in these areas, and I will be traveling with a team of amazing Godly people.
I believe that Lord-willing, I will be able to raise all of the money I need for this trip, but if you would like to donate to help me get there, please do! I need all of the help I can get! Please also pray for my journey and the people I will be traveling with.
