“To whom much is given, much is required.” These are the words that made me want to be a part of the January 2008 World Race. The Lord blesses me every day with more than I could have ever asked for, now it is time to give back.
I am a 24 year old medical sales rep in Charlotte, NC. I graduated from UNC Wilmington two years ago with a degree in Exercise Science. After two years in the medical sales world, I feel called to start working for eternal rewards rather than the rewards of this world. One day I was about to accept a promotion in a new territory and the next I am turning it down to run around the world for a year.
The word “abandonment” is what excites me and terrifies me the most about this trip. I have a pretty firm grasp on my life and how I want to live it right now, but the good Lord pries my fingers open a little every day.
I went to college 7 miles from the coast and I love the beach but have recently become pretty fond of the mountains as well. I am crazy about Hubba Bubba chewing gum and green tea lattes from Starbucks. I run to relax and relieve stress at the end of a long day. Nothing cheers me up quite like The Office. I have a wonderful family. I have amazing friends and I can’t wait to make a bunch more!
