So the book “Love Does” by Bob Groff probably help me the most when deciding to do the World Race. He put into word how I feel my relationship with God looks like sometimes. In one of his chapter he was taking about his kids and how he and his wife decided that when each of them turned ten they were allowed to choose a trip, it didn’t matter where it was in the world or what it was they would just go together. I think it was his daughter that was ten first and she wanted to go have a tea party, so they flew all the way to London to have tea. His second born wanted to go climb Half Dome in Yosemite in the middle of a snow storm, so they drove to Yosemite and climbed Half Dome in the middle of a blizzard. Then his youngest wanted to go bike riding in the sand dunes or something like that, and so they went out into the desert together and rode bikes in the sand dunes. Goff talk about his love for his children and how amazing it was to just be with them, on an adventure. That’s how God is with His children; He gets down on his knees looks at us and asks “where do you want to go today?” He invites us constantly on adventure with Him, so that we can do just that and be with Him. Just like when I was little and my own dad invited me on little adventure to a trail, the movies or to take picture around Atlanta, it didn’t really matter to me what we did just as long as I got to spend time with my dad. I just want to spend time with my Father. He has gotten down on His knees, looked me in the eyes and ask “Meredith where do you want to go today? Let’s go together.”
