Hello there friends!
My name is Meredith Bristow and I cannot wait to embark on a journey that I am excited to share with all of you! Over the next few months, I will be raising money to begin my race around the world with new friends and a WHOLE LOT OF JESUS!! But before we begin, I want to share a little bit of who I am.
I was born and raised in Waco, Texas. I am a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a degree in International Relations. I have also just completed the Kanakuk Institute, which is a Bible discipleship and leadership program in Branson, MO. I have a love for Jesus and any kind of adventure – which is what got me here today talking (or typing I guess) to you!
Isaiah 6:8 “Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying,”Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here I am. Send Me!”
I have been a big fan of the Lord since I was 12 years old. I came to know Jesus at a summer camp the summer after one of my friends passed away. At that point in my life I was trying to understand the world – and still trying – but it was then that I found hope in the God that I call my Father. Since then I have been on fire for my Savior, not to say there hasn’t been some bumps and bruises along the way – He has always remained the same!! So much of my life I have exchanged the truth for a lie and been defeated, but restored when I am reminded of the ultimate victory Jesus has over this world.
John 16:33 “These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world there will be tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.”
This past year I have been a part of a program that has given me the confidence of sharing the Gospel to all the world. I have gotten to study the Bible in-depth and stand up in front of 7 theologians while defending my faith. Talk about intimidating!!! But I have been thankful for the opportunity to figure out what I believe and why I believe it. Now it is time to take that knowledge and take it to the world.
It is time to go and glorify the King and build His kingdom. So here I am.. going!!!
Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
