My name is Melody. I’m 18 years old. I’ve pretty much lived in the same ol small town since I was born  I’ve never been out of the country. I met Jesus when I was a little girl, but I started actively following him with my whole heart when I was 15 and was saved when i was 17. Simply put, life has never looked the same. I have two loving parents that i have to admit are pretty great! A and a really cool step-mom. I have one older sister and a little brother that are the best siblings anyone could ever ask for…most of the time 😉

I will be participating in The World Race Gap Year! The World Race is part of Adventures in Missions, an interdenominational missions organization that has sent over 100,000 people into the mission field since 1989. On October 17th I was accepted to a nine month mission trip where I will travel to a few different countries. First, I will attend training camp in in Gainesville, Georgia for ten days (July 6-16). I will then come back home until “launch” in September. I will work with a group of Christians (ages 18-21) to plant churches and bring the hope of God’s love to those we are intentionally working with, as well as for those God places in our path unexpectedly.

A little about my hobbies and passions, I am a twirler, I’ve been twirling since fourth grade. I love riding horses with my grandpa. I am a part of student council at my school. I’m in band (I pretend to play flute). And I work as a waitress at Dinner Bell (we have the best food in town).

writing is something I’ve never been good at so we will see how my blog post go.
