I’m writing this blog on a train on my way to Laos. I’m excited for all that’s in store for us there. 🙂 I definitely have more to write about Thailand, but before I do that, I wanted to tell you about an exciting opportunity coming up in just two months.

Adventures In Missions (AIM) recognizes that The World Race is not just a journey for us who are out here traveling from country to country, but it’s also a journey for our loved ones back home, especially for our parents. It definitely takes a lot of faith in God to let your daughter spend eleven months traveling around the world. One thing AIM does to help our parents understand what this year has looked like for us, is the Parent Vision Trip.

The Parent Vision Trip (PVT) is a week long mission trip for our parents. They are invited to meet us in Swaziland at the beginning of May (our 9th month) and serve alongside us for a week. My mom has decided to participate in PVT, and I’m so excited about it. As excited as I am to see my mom after nine months of being away, what I am most excited about is that this will be her first overseas mission trip. Missions has been a passion of mine since I was a little girl, and my parents have always been supportive. But now my mom will get to experience missionary life first hand for a week in Africa.

I’m amazed at the amount of faith my mom has for this trip. Ever since she first heard about the trip, she has said she feels confident that God wants her to go, even though she didn’t know how she was going to be able to pay for it. And it’s amazing to see how God has already begun to provide. Through the gift of a Delta Buddy pass and $400 left over from fundraising for my trip, my mom is on her way to funding her mission trip to Swaziland! But she still needs $350 more to pay AIM for the trip cost, $800 for her plane ticket to South Africa, and probably about $250 for her travel from South Africa to Swaziland.

You have all already been so generous in your support of me on my journey, and I’m more appreciative than I can express. So please don’t feel pressured to give any more. But I wanted to tell you about PVT to give you the opportunity to be a part of helping my mom fund her trip to Swaziland.

Because I’ll be in Laos for the next month, I won’t be able to be in communication about things associated with Christianity. So if you would like to donate, you can contact my mom. Her email address is: [email protected].

Thanks so much for your love, prayers, and support!
