Since I wasn’t able to post pictures while I was in Laos, I decided to make a blog of just some more of the pictures I took while I was there last month.

They sell live fish in the market.

They also sell padaek, which is fermented fish paste.  They use it to flavor just about all their food.  Thankfully, they usually made foreigner friendly versions of their traditional Lao dishes that are padaek free.

Our main mode of transportation around the city was these cute little tuk tuks.

Me and Britt inside a tuk tuk.

One street corner has a cage full of bearcats!  GO UC!  😉

Kendal and Erika, two of the missionaries serving at the ministry we worked with.  It was so great getting to spend the month with these girls!

We got to help freshen up the preschool by painting a large portion of its walls, including the high walled staircase.  Who knew bamboo sticks could be so useful?

Ashley and Lindsey got to use their amazing artistic skills to paint a mural on the wall of the preschool.  If the authorities ask, it’s not Noah’s Ark, it’s just a boat with animals.  😉

Our two last days at the preschool, the staff cooked us amazing Lao lunches.  That’s Duaeng making the Lao papaya salad.  They made us a special version with no hot peppers and no padaek. Delicious!

Setting the table for our Lao lunch.

My team with all the teachers at the preschool.  It was a great month getting to know these wonderful Lao ladies.
