In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.

Proverbs 16:9

Sometimes I think I have my life figured out and then verses like this remind me that it’s not about me figuring it out. It’s about allowing the Lord to guide my steps. No matter how hard that is at times, I know it’s so worth it.

My route changed AGAIN friends. This time. With a whole different approach and team. I was asked to switch to the expedition route for January 2017. This trip will still be 11 months long but my team and I will be traveling to 12 countries in 11 months.

Pioneering into several new World Race countries, this route will have a greater focus on adventure and abandonment. It will be intentionally challenging and physically demanding, traveling vast distances over land and sea. This route requires a high level of physical endurance, adaptability, leadership, and spiritual maturity.

Nearly 5 billion people live in the 10/40 Window, a region stretching from North Africa to Southeast Asia. This span is the least exposed to the Gospel of any region in the entire world. We’re investing deeply in this region because Jesus has called us to action: “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

I will be traveling and ministering to Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, China, Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Spain, and Morocco.

Although this decision was hard because I let things like fear, not being with my awesome friend DARA, and having to connect with a whole new group of people get in the way, I am able to say with a peace in my heart today that I am so excited for this new adventure the Lord has asked me to embark on.

Thank you so much for those who prayed about my decision and who have supported me in so many ways as I prepare for this next year.

Totally off topic but here’s a fun picture of my home for the year!
