So sometimes on the World Race you might end up in first class. BUT in order for that to happen you must first get to the airport and find out you missed your flight, go on stand by and then the coveted free first class possibly might happen. Chances are extremely high that it will not ever happen again for me. I think I’m ok with that.

Oh and did I mention that we got off the plane at the same time our next flight started boarding but miraculously made our flight to India?

I have to say, I could not be more excited about how this trip has started. It has already shown the complete unpredictability of this race and at the same time Gods’ complete providence! After all we managed to get 30 of us new tickets and still made it in time for our next flight!!

Traveled Log:

Atlanta to Chicago

Chicago to India

Had a forever long, I think 14 hour, layover in the Indian airport

India to Nepal

Entertaining bus ride to the house of the only Christian member of the Nepal Parliament

Somehow we traveled starting early on the 3rd and ended in the middle of the day on the 5th.

I’m not sure what else I was planning on saying. I just for the first time in weeks caught myself narrating a blog to myself and it’s so much better sharing my thoughts with you than with my snoring first class seatmate. He did not share my enthusiasm for a free Dr. Pepper and how I’m on my VERY FIRST WORLD RACE FLIGHT?!? We’re finally here and I am only feeling peace. None of the anxiety that stayed with me up until the bus this morning just peace and an annoying excitment! I’m excited to be pushed past my comfort zone and incredibly excited for these beautiful people that are going to be my family for a year! You guys, they are an amazing mix of introverts, and very very  outgoing people,  they are hilarious, humble, so selfless, and the amount of leaders we have  in our squad is crazy, and have I mentioned their hearts for the Lord?

I finally got some  Wi-Fi and y’all have got to see this view I’m looking at while trying upload this thing! except I’m not sure how to get the picture from my phone to here.  so you can just see the one posted on Facebook.

Today we had our first meeting to find out what this month is going to hold for us. My team Fearless Love is going north not quite sure where but only about 2 hours from where we are at the moment. And from what I can gather we are going to be working with school kids educating on sex traffic. The statistics are just staggeringly large numbers in both sex trafficking and in child marriage. The ministry we are in contact with has the goal of reaching girls before traffickers set a trap. These girls and families are lied to and most believe they’re going to a life in which they are fed, cared for, and loved. Our ministry contact, Bhuvan said that in some off the more remote places, families only have enough food for 6 months and live off of what they can scrounge and traffickers come at this time knowing families are desperate.

I’ll try to blog again with a little more substance soon but it all depends on the Wi-Fi. Im envisioning our next “home” to be in the mountians without a whole lot of anything, well see how correct I am soon!  Please just be in prayer for my team as we go to our first ministry.
