Hi Everyone!
I have decided to participate in the World Race next year! I’ll be serving in 11 countries for 11 months. I know, it all sounds a little crazy, but I think Jesus enjoys throwing some crazy in our lives every now and then.
Honestly, I have had some doubts and reservations concerning my ability to serve for this length of time with people I haven’t met yet and leaving behind the comforts of home. Missionary life always sounds good in theory, but I’ve realized that there is a type of surrender that must take place before I leave.
As I reflect on my life these past few years I see that God required me to surrender in those seasons as well. And I think that is the key to surrendering – understanding what season God has placed you in.
Today, God is requiring me to leave a good job, leave my apartment, sell my car, and say goodbye to my family and friends. But I remind myself that this is just one season of my life. Who knows what lessons I will learn from surrendering things, people, and places that I hold so dear.
Perhaps, like me, God is asking you to surrender an area of your life as well. I pray you find the strength to let go. I also encourage you to be faithful one day at a time. God is using each moment to make us more like Christ and fulfill our purpose. He is faithful to provide for our needs today and at the same time prepare us for what lies ahead. So will you join me?
Surrendering because He gave it all for me!
“Show me the way that I must take; to thee I offer all of my heart.”

“What is it that you’re holding onto? What is it that has a hold of you?
Caution is a song…that I sang last year!”
