Happy Thanksgiving to all my family, friends, and supporters! I just love this holiday! What a wonderful time to stop, reflect, and thank the Lord for all that He’s done in our lives – past and present. Also, let’s not forget all the wonderful food we get to consume! Mom, you might have to make me a “second Thanksgiving meal” when I return home. 😉

Actually, I have experienced “Thanksgiving” this whole month while being here in Morocco. What do I mean? Well, I have used this month to reflect and to think about what I’ve experienced this year – the adventures, the community, the ministry, the travels. Moments from each month have come rushing in and I see the Lord’s faithfulness through it all.

Honestly, I don’t know how to thank Him enough for what He’s done. So here’s my attempt at processing this year and thanking Him below. May it encourage you!

Lord, how do I thank you for all you’ve done?

I left home for the unknown // You calmed my fears

I lived with new community // They are now my friends

I received forgiveness // Grace upon grace upon grace

I am not the same // You work wonders

I return home soon // My family and friends await

Lord, how do I thank you for all you’ve done?

I have traveled this world // You love each one of us

I have met your people // You made us in your image

I have seen beauty // You create for our enjoyment

I have seen pain // You provide reconciliation

I have seen growth // You are awakening the nations

Lord, how do I thank you for all you’ve done?

I found grace // You are a gentle friend

I found love // You captivate me

I found freedom // You are the great restorer

I found joy // You give life abundantly

I found hope // You are my greatest adventure

Lord, how do I thank you for all you’ve done?

You are King // I bow to you alone

You are Truth // I will tell of your love

You are Faithful // I will follow you

You are Eternal // I will live for another world

You are Life // Use me

Oh, God, thank you for all you’ve done!

Your servant,
Melissa
