Hey my name is Melissa and I’m 19 years old. I’m from Long Island, New York, but I’m currently going to school at Hawaii Pacific University. When it’s time for me to leave for the World Race I’ll have completed both my freshman and sophomore year of college (how exciting!!).
I’m a lover of adventures, people, learning, a warm cup of tea, good books, hiking, the ocean, music, traveling, late night drives, deep conversations, quality time with loved ones, food, and of course my homie JC (Jesus Christ if you didn’t catch on).
I gave my life to Christ in eighth grade and I’ve been striving to grow closer and closer to God everyday since by reading his Word and through prayer. I’m so excited to lay everything down before him and go out into the field this time next year.
Through this blog I plan to share how God is preparing me to embark on this journey in the months leading up to the World Race and then will be sharing what God is doing in and through me, my team, and the people we serve while we’re out on the field.
