So our group was one of the chosen to stay in the Dominican Republic. We are currently in San Juan checking out the area and getting familiar with the local community. The people here are so friendly. Well honestly all the Dominicans we have encountered have been extremely nice. They love to smile, say hello, and hang out. Yesterday team Transformers played baseball with a bunch of Domincan children. A picture of the event will be posted soon.
As for me, simply being here and growing relationally with the Lord has been a blessing. When one has less in life, they tend to see more of the Lord. Well at least that is what I have been experiencing. The more I am stripped from my comforts emotionally, physically, and spiritually, the more strength and Love I’m graced with from the Lord.
