When you are a college student or a young adult person there is always that dreaded same question, what is next in your life? For a while I felt boxed in a corner and I could never give people a honest answer, because I had no clue what was the next journey. I struggled with what I knew society wanted me to do and what I knew God has called me to do.  There was always this pressure to go to graduate school to pursue a career to be a functioning member of society, but that never felt right for me. I did the only thing I could do, I prayed the BIGGEST prayers I ever have in my life. I prayed for guidance and for a vision of the next step God wanted me to take. I had a hard time with getting a clear answer from God. I took a step to leave my comfort zone and started to travel all over the United States in search of somewhere or something that was a passionate call from God. The farther I got from home the more I realized that I didn’t have any worldly experience and most of my life has been spent completely sheltered from the constant chaos that goes on in our world. Then the World Race popped up in my life and everything always came back to this mission experience. This was the radical God given passion I had been searching for. For someone who has never been out of the country, this will be the best way for God to use me to leave my comfort zone completely and trust solely in Him.

I bet you are thinking now, well…what will she be doing? Here is your answer! I will serve as a missionary through an organization, Adventures in Missions, in their World Race program. The World Race is an 11-month Christian mission trip to 11 different countries around the world. Through adventure, ministry, community, and self- discovery, World Racers develop broken hearts that propel their hands to act for God’s kingdom around the globe.   On the World Race, my team and I will serve in partnership with churches and ministries in local communities to preach the Gospel, plant churches, work in orphanages, minister to women and children who are trapped in prostitution as a result of human trafficking, and bring the restoration and hope of the Father’s love to many tribes and nations. I will be participating and leaving on the July 2015 Route 2, which includes the following countries: China, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, Uganda, Rwanda, Ethiopia, Romania, Serbia, and Albania.

Mark 16:15- “Then he said, ‘Go into the world. Go everywhere and announce the Message of God’s good news to one and all.'”

To accomplish this God given vision for my life, I need YOU! I am asking you if you would consider partnering prayerfully and financially with me in my ministry. I must raise $16, 360 in order to go on the World Race, which covers all of my expenses on the field (flights, travel, living, food). I also need to raise an additional $3,000 to cover spending costs in countries and supplies I need to go on the race. This financial support can be given as a one-time gift or as monthly donation, wherein you choose the amount and beginning and end date. If 25 people pledge $65 a month for 12 months, I would have 100 percent of the funds necessary for my trip! (Ps. It is all tax deductible!) Donating is simple and easy by just clicking on the “Support Me” tab to your left and following through the simple steps. If you are only doing a one time donation that is completely appreciated as well! Anything and everything will help in extraordinary ways to benefit those we are serving in the 11 different countries.

I am so excited to see how God will move in my life and in the lives of others in the coming year. I hope not only to be a blessing to those I serve, but also to you. I would be honored to go as your representative to bring Christ Jesus to nations around the world. I want to thank you in advance for your prayers and financial support. May God bless you as you prayerfully consider partnering with me in this ministry.

Joyfully,

Melissa Presley
