Hands. We do almost everything with them.
Everything.
My hands before the race were used to work, to write papers for school, to do daily tasks.
My hands seemed only important in the aspect of functioning in life.
The longer I go on this race, the more I realize my hands are more than a functioning part of my body.

They toiled hard ground to prepare a farm for a harvest.
They held crying children and comforted them through their tears.
They mudded someone’s home to provide insulation.
They passed bricks up a mountain to build a church.
They hugged a prostitute after hearing her heartbreaking story.
They lifted high in worship in many different countries.
They held children’s hands on the way to school.
They encouraged teammates through struggles and pain.
They danced funky dance moves.
They have served so many in need.
They laid over people in prayer.
They healed.

See our hands have the ability to do more. They comfort, they pray, they worship, they strengthen, they serve, and they bless. If I have realized one thing about my hands, it’s that they are a gateway for Jesus to do the most work through me.

It’s simple. My hands are HIS hands to serve those in need.

Yours are the hands through which He blesses all the world.” ~St. Teresa of Avila
