The Lord is sooo good!! I have so much exciting news to share!!

Through you all and the amazing provision of the Lord, I am so excited to announce that I am FULLY FUNDED!!! The Lord has provided above and beyond what I imagined! I can’t thank each of you enough for your love, support and prayers!! The Lord has shown his faithfulness so clearly through your generosity!  I was accepted for the World Race at the end of May, began fundraising a month or so later, and by the beginning of December I was fully funded ($15,500 total)…I am truly blown away and so so thankful!!

Although I am fully funded, my other teammates still need more financial support in order to complete the race. If you feel led to give, or just want to check out their blogs, click on their pictures on the left side panel on my blog site!  Once you navigate to their blogs, you can click the “Support” tab on the left to donate to them online 🙂

My other exciting news is that yesterday we found out our first placement for ministry!! My teammates and I will be serving in Quito, Ecuador at Centro Opcion de Vida (COVi). We will be serving alongside the staff at COVi to bring the hope and light of Jesus to street kids and at-risk teens, while also helping to meet their physical needs.

Description of the ministry from the website:
“Opción de Vida is a ministry for street boys supported by both the Ecuadorian government and the El Batan Alliance Church in Quito…Opción de Vida  is a place where at risk kids can come five days a week to get a hot shower, clothing, food, and hear about the Lord. Our hope is that through our friendship the people currently and formerly living on the streets will receive help with their immediate situation, but more importantly, come to know Jesus, who promises to meet all of our needs.”

“What good is it, my brothers, if a man claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save him? Suppose a brother or sister is without clothes or daily food. If one of you says to him, “Go, I wish you well; keep warm and be well fed,” but does nothing about his physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:14-17

I will be headed to DC on January 7th for "launch". During that time I will meet up with the rest of my squad for a few more days of training before we head out! From DC we will fly directly to Ecuador and begin our ministry in Quito!!

I can’t tell you enough how much I deeply appreciate your prayers and support! Thank you for partnering with me in this journey 🙂 I can’t wait to keep you all updated!
