Hello fellow bloggers and blog readers!

I have never been much of a blogger… I tried to start one this summer, but it ended up being pointless, as I never updated it. I'm also pretty late in updating this one, but hopefully that will change as this whole process progresses.

Anyway, this is the home page for my blog about the next upcoming journey in my life: The World Race. Don't know what the Race is? Take a look:

The World Race is a Christian mission trip that travels to 11 countries in 11 months. Participants live out of a backpack, survive on a limited budget, and find themselves in situations where faith is the only reality to choose from. In partnering with existing missionaries and ministries, World Racers develop relationships with the "least of these", and through acts of service see communities and nations transformed all over the world.

Sounds pretty freakin' cool if you ask me, and I'm super pumped to be one the hundreds of other students who have gone on this trip to glorify God and love His people.

So, here's how to navigate and work my blog:

All of the links on the left side of the page are clickable, and will take you to all of my other pages, including my latest blog posts, my support page, and my contact page. If you want, you can even subscribe to my blog by typing your email address into the box under Subscribe for Blog Updates. If you do that, you'll receive email updates every time I blog. Seems like a better option than coming back and checking my page every minute of every day to see what I write next. And I promise not to make your inbox explode.

Thus far, the plan for me is to be a part of the August 2011 Race, and there are some AMAZING people going with me, so make sure to check out their blogs, too. Also make sure to take a look at the race route to see all the countries I'll be visiting. And try to remember that, though our route is pretty definite now, things could change later on. It's something I'm having to come to grips with, too- that I won't be in total control of where I end up. But I'm so excited to be a part of this journey.

Thanks for joining me!
