So I’m currently in La Paz with the whole squad and today we found out team changes. In my last blog I talked about how I had a peace about team changes but that still doesn’t mean when it was time to say goodbye to Collision I didn’t cry nor does it mean that I wasn’t slightly nauseous as they described how we’d find out our teams. They gave us each a note card folded with our teammates in it. They told us to go someplace and pray through and process what this would mean and to get to a place where we trusted God that no matter what the card said.
So God taught me a ton about Himself and myself through team Collision. There were a lot of hard times and a lot of good times. And I realized that through those really tough times is when God moved most strongly in my life so I prayed through having another team totally different from myself that would be super hard but knowing God would grow me even more from that. So I opened my card. And it was like Christmas! My team is INCREDIBLE and I could not be happier. Someone literally told me I was glowing today.
So without further ado I’d like to introduce you to team I-61!
I totally lost at bowling but I still love them

First you may remember this face! I got Evan back! And now he’s my team leader! Even better! Literally every person has asked me how excited I am to be on a team with him again—it’s pretty obvious we missed each other these past three months!

You may also recognize these good looking people! Jessie, Cory and I were kept together which is awesome! They push me to be so much better and this past month we have grown so close and I feel blessed to be able to continue this journey with them!

Next is the hysterical Rikki Lynn! Over the past two travel days I have just come to love her so much! She is so funny and warm and kind and funny (did I mention that already?) also her nickname is giggles and it’s the most appropriate nickname I have ever heard in my life!

Then is amazing Jenna! Since training camp we decided we were going to be friends and we totally are! She makes me laugh and I love hearing her stories (she totally worked in Hollywood—you probably know how I feel about celebrity gossip!) and just sitting with her.

Last but not least is the lovely Ginny. She for real surprises me at every turn. First she’s the queen of preference! I was the last person to get into the hostel and the only bunk was a top bunk (WHICH I HATE!) and she totally offered to switch (not even knowing we would be teammates). And then later on we had a dance party and she was busting it out like she owned the place. it.was.awesome.

If you know me you know my obsession with photo booths. We were meant to be.
So that’s the team! Now for the name! I-61 has a double meaning. First is we are trying to live out Isaiah 61—specifically that we are going to turn ashes (and pain) into beauty. And then it sounds like Interstate 61 and we’re totally traveling around the world bringing this truth to people everywhere!

We can even have a good time in a public restroom!
Thanks for all your prayers during this somewhat stressful time! God answered in an amazing way and I can’t wait to start ministry with these fantastic people!
Next update from Albania!
