Well it's time to leave Romania!  Stupid early tomorrow we'll drive to the airport and catch a flight to Qatar, have an overnight layover and then catch another flight to South Africa where I will sit on a bus for hours and hours to our ministry in Plettenberg Bay which is just outside of Cape Town.  I'll be living in my tent (that makes 2 months in my tent and 4 months not in a bed for those keeping count) on a farm, helping to run sports camps with two other teams.  We'll have our own little tent city since there'll be over 20 of us! It'll be interesting to say the least!

Rumor on the street is that it's a 20 minute walk to get internet access so my blogging is probably going to decrease in a big way!  But I'll try my best to keep you all up to date!  But now for:

Never Have I Ever Since Romania:

  • Shaved a man's beard
  • Successfully participated in a jumping photo
  • Had a late night birthday dance party on a street in a foreign country
  • Saw a satilite dish attached to a well
  • Eaten corn flakes every si ngle morning
  • Eaten a sandwhich and chips for lunch every single day
  • Delivered food to widows (it was one of my goals for the race!)
  • Had an old woman show me her naked chest so I could see her surgery scar
  • Cracked open hundreds of walnuts with a hammer (surprisingly did not hit my hand once!)
  • Celebrated Thanksgiving in a foreign country
  • Raked thousands of leaves
  • Had 2 minutes to jump off a train onto train tracks in the middle of nowhere with all my stuff
  • Seen about a million horse and buggies!

And for fun, here's a youtube video our ministry contact in South Africa made–it'll give you an idea of what my month will look like. (AWESOME!)

Miss and love you all!!!
