Remember that time I was on Team Collision? Remember that time I learned a ton and grew so much in the first three months of the race. Remember when my team leader was Lindsay and she was AWESOME!?!?!? Here are some things you probably won’t remember because I didn’t get to share them in a blog:
- Lindsay read Forgotten God out loud to me because I really wanted to read it and she didn’t want me to have to wait until she had finished it. So it took her twice as long to read it because she had to wait till we were both free.
- Lindsay pushing me (in a good way) to get over my fears of singing out loud in public when it’s to praise God. She encouraged me so much and the pride in her eyes when I finally sang my little heart out at debrief was exactly how I imagined God looking at me.
- Lindsay rubbing my back and speaking life into me in a freezing cold classroom as I cried my heart out doubting God’s presence in my life.
- Lindsay making me laugh so many times I’m surprised I didn’t pee my pants at least once when we were together.
- Lindsay showing me what it means to just let go of insecurities and just rest and trust in God’s love.
- Lindsay showering me with love and processing through things with me last month even though she wasn’t my team leader any more. She still makes an effort to show she loves me.
There are so many more things I could post about Lindsay (but I’m out of internet time) and how amazing, funny, smart, compassionate and wonderful she is. I only touched on some of the things she did for me—forget what she did for the people we met in South America—that would take too long to share; but trust me—she was incredible!
And now she needs about $4000 by TOMORROW or she flies home to Indiana at the end of the week. That’s it, she’s just done. So we kind of need a miracle in a big, fast way! Can you please pray? Can you ask everyone you know to pray?
